Blood pressure test
A blood pressure testing service was held at the Black Swan Hotel, Helmsley when 77 people had their pressure tested. The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Helmsley & District as a service to the community. A Rotarian doctor and a nurse were in attendance. Young chef wins final
in London

The national winner of the Rotary Young Chef contest is 16 year old Tom Souter of Helmsley.
Tom is a pupil at the Ryedale School and he is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Helmsley & District.
He wins a trophy, £250 and a day’s experience at Fifteen Restaurant, London, which was founded by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. In addition, accompanied by a parent, he will visit the olive harvest in Tuscany with Filippo Berio.
